My greatest purchase of 2020

In July 2020, my youngest turned 2.... not knowing when this quarantine would end, I knew I had to purchase gifts strategically. What would keep my kids busy during this pandemic?

We decided to purchase the IKEA FLISAT table in hopes to increase independent play as well as meaningful sensory play. We have now owned the FLISAT table for 6 months and use it every single day! 😃

I change the contents of the table about twice a week... and I like to keep it simple.

Last week I threw cotton balls in one side and a plastic food container on the other side ( you could also use an egg carton, an ice cube tray, or even just a cup). The kids used their @LearningResources tweezers 🤏 to transfer (left to right if possible) the cotton balls from the left, to the food container on the right. The fun, INDEPENDENT PLAY lasted for 35 minutes which gave me some time to sit and sip on some warm ☕️ #momwin
