Process Art. 👩‍🎨 This is one thing that this Mama doesn’t do enough of. 😬 

Process art had so many benefits for toddlers and young children:  

🎨Builds artistic independence and creativity  

🎨Motivates children to experiment with artistic styles and materials  

🎨 Helps children embrace errors and mistakes as part of the art.  

Materials:  

-cardboard 

-Xacto knife 

-materials the kids would like to use to decorate  

It was a freezing cold 🥶 boring day here, so I went to the craft closet and pulled out some cardboard scraps I was holding on to. I let the kids pick out what they would like to color with. They both chose tempera paint sticks! Perfect! @kwikstix 

We sat at the table and painted and painted and painted. 👨🏼‍🎨🧑🏼‍🎨 Once the kids were done, I used the Xacto knife to cut out whatever shape they desired. ♥️They both chose hearts! ♥️ Probably because I am pushing my excitement for Valentine's Day on them.😄 After we cut out their hearts, we cut them again into puzzles. They loved them! But I think they loved the fact that they made them more. 🥳
